Thank you for your service. That's a nice XJ you got, I have had the same 1.25" spacers for almost 3 years now and never had an issue. It's kind of funny, my GF just this past summer got herself a new '14 JKU. Her's doesn't have any real goodies on it for offroad since my XJ is the fun Jeep but it will once her warranty is done. Looking forward to the build. Any clear future plans for it?

Plans for the XJ are going to be functional and i dont think im going to be going higher then 5-6 inch lift. bumpers lights lockers maybe some stereo stuff if i am lucky. trying to compete the capability of the JKU is going to be a task.

i was in RC-E(shank). we did most of the closing down there. went from 60ish fob/op to less then 10 while we were there. I'm an aviation guy so im spoiled to a point but i understand my purpose and my job. I don't try to make it more then what it is.

I was an 89D while in afghan, had a horrible deployment so reclassed to a 68W and feel in love. My deployment to Iraq was so much better due to me finding my passion. Thank you for your service as I know the sacrifices it takes to juggle family and the military. I can't wait to see your jeep "finished" project since you are never truly done with jeep. What company are looking at for a lift?

OMG those leaf springs are crazy. what shocks are you thinking about running?

so today was a good day. over the past week i got the parts in for a tune up and also a set of 784's to put in the thing. so today i took her to the shop on post and got stuff done. oil change with rotella t-5 10-30 champ coppers bosch wires along with cap and rotor and last but not least the injectors. all went smooth and as expected. after all was done i reset the ecu and man the 784's are something i encourage everyone to invest in. smoother idle and the pep you get back is nice.

now the bad thing i noticed is my stock muffler has a small crack/hole in it. perfect excuse to give the wife to have to order a cat back setup after all i don't want my gas mileage going down for something so silly :lol

i have had 2 spots of rust on this xj since i bought it last year. so far its not growing and the only one i am worried about is rocker panel. the sooner i can get back down south the better to get the fix and be rust/worry free. as for the rest of the body i finally took the bumper end caps off being one caused some rubbing in turns because it was pushed back. oh and i washed her today .... she was dirty and needed it bad.
