How did the 300k U joints look?

dry, all the roller bearings were intact. I guess spicer isn't kidding about lifetime. I think the lift put them out of that comfortable place they were at since birth, lol. I'll post some pics. Glad I did it, considering that trans mount lifted the transfer case maybe a half to quarter inch. Im really not trying to do a SYE, I'm budgeted, lol

Shim opinion

Ok, some opinions please? I took a angle finder, took down some numbers, and need some opinions on axle shims to correct my ugly pinion angle. This is what I got. 5° at the slip yoke at trans case, my driveshaft is at 15*, and the differential pinion is at 12*. I have no SYE, so I'm trying to set it up on a reg slip yoke driveshaft. I have 1.5 drop shackles that has set the pinion pointing up. I guess it would be great if I did have a sye, however I do not. 6* is what I was thinking any opinions?

I'm going to take a minute to kinda vent about this site, it doesn't really matter as no one follows or adds or anything. I'm a 38 yr old female veteran, that has always been a Jeep enthusiast. I've owned two, a 85 2dr 4 cyl 4wd 5 speed, and of course this white 95. While in high school I drove my dad's 78 cj5, which I loved. Several years ago, I became fed up with mechanics taking me for a ride on simple repairs. Which spurred me on to lift a Jeep, which I have never done. My dad convinced me, it would ride rough, and buying tires is hell. Well that puts me to today, I have completely redone my Jeep front to back, all by my own hand. All info being researched and studied. Some of the parts not being the most expensive parts, but all brand name none the less. It really has been disappointing that no one has been more helpful to me, I am really hung up on this shim, axle pinion tilt up, and no one had one bit of info for me. I've researched and read about it, well I just ordered 4* and 6* shims and I suppose which works , works, have a nice day jeepers, happy trails

I remember when I bought mine 7 years ago. Was aware of the end issue but it was a kinda running not really drive-able price was kinda right thing impulse purchase.
So I could not put her through the paces to get a handle on the head.
Went in expecting the worst but hoping for the best.
So far so good. LOL.

Yeah, this belonged to my dad's friend, he kept hitting me up to buy it for $300. But I've been stubborn about it, being a diff trans case, power packs, it's the last gen, where I've got a 95+85. So I just thought 300 dollars into my white one. So this weekend he is totally disgusted with it being an east Tenn yard ornament, tells my dad " tell that girl of yours to come get that Jeep if she wants it" . So it's a win. Here's the deal, to the best of my knowledge, hadn't had a chance to take a peek. Oil pump stopped, overheated died. We will see, I'm kinda excited, might just be a head, maybe the crank, fingers cross the bottom did not die.
