hey folks just checking in. I'm alive and well haven't been on in a while. i have recently been reassigned in the military to a sniper platoon, and my focus has shifted towards that. i have had to learn a whole new set of skills, from stalking targets and long range shooting. the jeep project has unfortunately been pushed to the side while i do this and continue to sharpen my skills. i have since begun training for long range competitions to further experience and pick up new techniques. stay safe out there and wheel on

That sounds like a pretty amazing and intense experience! I've always enjoyed the challenge of long-distance shooting, but never gone anywhere near that level.
Your post got me thinking about jeeps that sit unused, and I have a suggestion. When I went on vacation for 9 days once, I had just put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner (Techron) in my gas tank. I wondered the whole time I was gone if it would have a more noticeable or possibly even detrimental effect. When I got back I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it ran. Noticeably smoother than before I left! I never encountered any fuel system problems after that either so it had no negative effects I could discern. If you are a fan of fuel injector cleaner, then maybe give that a try if you have to let it sit for a while. My theory is it has longer to dissolve the deposits and such, but I'm no expert. Just a suggestion, and thank you for your service to our country!

So it has come to a fork in the road. Do I hold onto both the xj and mj and slowly modify the mj while keeping the xj running? Or do I sell the xj and go full retard on the mj. If I keep both the mj will be DD and the xj will be a nice weekend warrior. Any thoughts
