Unofficial name. Friends nickname due to an interesting experience wheeling. But anyways Hey everybody! This is my first build thread and im a little bit behind cuz im just now figuring out how to get around the site here. This is for my 2001 XJ sport that i got last february. It was my first car, of course meaning it was also my first jeep. I got it bone stock with only 130,XXX miles and a cracked head. Other than that though it was a great deal. Picked it up for right around 4 grand. Only deal is we were on a bit of a budget and my dads super picky so i did end up with a 2wd. But i didnt quite mind just meant i had a little more work to do to get this thing on the trails. Pictures will be a bit behind too as my computer is being a little funny. But oh well heres the project.
So Far: Like i said i bought it bone stock. After replacing the head, thermostat and all the gaskets to go with that, I got to saving to raise her up. middle of this summer me and my dad went out and got a 3" RC Series II suspension kit. After about 5-6 hours combined in the driveway we had that knocked out. (This is a big father son project) 3" lifted coils, Add-a-leaf, lower control arms and N2.0 shocks. I work at a local used tire shop with a fellow jeeper too so i picked up a slightly used set of his old 31x10.50 Uniroyal Laredo AWT's to slap on for the time being. I also took the wheels off and painted them black with the silver center cap (cheap but looks pretty nice) and replaced the shocks on the backhatch because they were SHOT
Soon to come: Within the next week i'll be ordering a set of 32x11.50 BFG AT's and some allied 15x8 bullet holes with 3.75 backspacing to put em on. Shortly after ill have a set of wheel spacers to go with those. After that its exterior work time. Gonna order a roof rack with a light bar (tips for brands to look for would be appreciated) and 2 KC Apolo 5" Hilites. Not too far after i'm looking at getting an aftermarket bumper i can mount a small stinger bar and maybe either 2 or 4 more lights
Down the road: Upgrade to 3.5" RE springs, Teraflex 1" spacers and shackles, bilstein 5100's and probably Teraflex adj control arms and trac bar. Lengthen the drive shaft and Also looking to get a spartan locker to fit my C 8.25 rear axle. Gonna be a lot of fun to last for the next year or so. Can't wait to get her finished. And like i said pictures day 1 to now will be on the way.

Then finally got the lift in from Easley 4x4. RC delivery time was great. Ordered Wednesday and in by Friday
Finished up the front but realized the guy at the shop forgot to give me my rear springs...so I had a nice 3" difference for a day or two
But got the leafs picked up with no problems and put on and got my boss's old 31's put on
And of course had to get her washed up. That's my buddy Parker's avalanche. Nice ole truck itself. Trucktoyz did a sick job
And finally got my wheels painted up and that's about where she sits now
Hope to get the new wheels and tires soon and then start Savin up for some other goodies!

They're the best man! My dad works at Michelin so he tests em (also how I got ahold of em) and I work at a used tire shop so I sell em and I've never had somebody come back and complain about a set of BFGs. I'll get a pic up when they're mounted. Soft 8s comin in probably tomorrow.

They are the best! I wanna try out the Duratracs though but they don't make them in 32 And damn I need a job! Do you have to be 18 to work in a tire shop? because I'm 18. that would be a cool place to work! And hell yeah everyone goes with soft 8's I'm actually starting to like em! But I want those Sidebiters rims!

Yeah a buddy of mine runs those and though I don't like Goodyear besides the Kevlars they're pretty sick. And nah dude I don't turn 18 til next month lol. Been up there for 8 months and I love it. Beats a desk job and I get a HUGE discount haha. But the soft 8s are hard to eat. They look good on any jeep and are cheap. who makes the sidebiters I haven't seen those?

Oh I know they are really cheap that's why I'm interested in them haha, but Mickey Thompson makes the Sidebiter not that bad of price either the cheapest I found was $105
