So a few weeks back learned the hard way that no one is reproducing these grilles and half the parts outlets don't even know the difference between a Wagoneer Limited and a Cherokee, so when a basically NOS Waggy grille popped up on Ebay I jumped on it...

This thing has literally been sitting on a shelf in the back of a Jeep dealership for something like 26 years. It's even more remarkable that it made it here unbroken... the seller (zero feedback, new seller, but I took a shot) basically put it back in the box as it was, taped it up and shipped it.

Oh well, it's in one piece and safe and secure in my storage unit until I need it.

Good score on the grille. Had an older XJ. Sold it. Regretted it. Bought a 97 XJ and 87 MJ since. Love to see old stuff being saved.

Man I'm really jealous. What a score. Mine is in good shape but has one section that is missing. I need to find a NOS grill and headlight surrounds as well.

Of course, it needs new everything else as well. All in due time...subscribed to your thread!

177k, pulled from a running, wrecked '91 XJ. They run-test and compression test everything they ship out and it has a 90 day warranty. They also have outstanding feedback and were very good with answering my questions before I bought.

A big ol' brown Easter bunny came by the house and left me a goody basket this afternoon... a little early but I'm not complaining!

Loving your thread. I may have missed it, but while you have it all apart are you converting to an open cooling system? I did so last weekend on my Wagoneer since it was leaking badly. Took me *far* longer to read about doing it than it actually took to do, that said, I suggest it. Super easy and my Jeep is actually running cooler as well. Here's a parts list that I made if you're interested. If you decide to do it, make sure you use a NAPA radiator - it has the e-fan sensor bung.

I still find myself going back and forth on this... I had initially planned on the conversion and then found the brand-new radiator in it for the closed system... Right now I'm planning to put it back together with the closed system to get it running and see if there are any other expensive surprises waiting for me. If all or most goes well, I'll revisit the open system conversion.

Thanks for the info, that chart is definitely going into my information collection!

Ah! Well I have just the solution for you then...don't blame you for wanting to keep that new radiator!
