Default 2001 Limited Build

So I recently picked up a 2001 limited from an old neighbor. He gave it to me for free because the engine has a knock in it and he wants to see me fix the car up because he never had the time. I believe its got 197k on it but ill have to check when I get home. The thing is all black with some ****ed up paint on the driver door. ill post pictures when I get home, but all in all a very clean car. no rust. Its got a pioneer deck, Sony Xplod amp, and old 10" kicker comp l7 (before they were square!!). other than that the thing is bone stock.

Any ideas on what the knock would be? i know there's not much to tell with no audio or anything, but maybe there's a common issue. It could be a lifter but i fear its a con rod.

First thing I would do is to check the flexplate for loose bolts / cracked plate. That would eliminate any engine concerns. A video would help tremendously. Is the oil pressure good?
It could be rod bearings, rockers, etc.
