Default 2000 Cherokee budget build (1 owner) NC

After a long wait I'm finally going to start building my xj. It's a 1 owner with 100xxx miles. Bone stock. It has been wheeled a pretty good bit mostly in mud. (thanks to my younger and dumber self) I'm in college and only work part-time time so this build will be on a tight budget. I don't plan to make anything huge just reliable, drivable and capable. Hopefully it will be ready for the spring jamboree at Uwharrie.
pics soon to come!

For now a 3" lift and new wheels with 31s. After that hopefully lock the rear, get some bumpers, diff covers and rock sliders

Whatever you do make sure you do your homework, read up on it and learn your xj from the inside out before you go spending money.

Well I got an amazing deal in another lifted xj. My buddy totaled his but nothing was damaged. I drove it home, it will make a great parts jeep to start out with. I'm going to swap some of the stuff over to save some cash.

We got the lift pulled off the blue xj. We're going to start the install on mine today. I have a feeling it's going to be a little tough with all of the rust.
I'm going to try to post some pics later today.

This is what we have pulled off the blue xj so far, and the first things to be swapped over to the black one.
RC 3in, heavier tie rod, RC 2.2 steering stabilizer, and 31/10.50 km2s

Some pictures of the black xj before the lift install. I already swapped over the roof rack. I'm still on the fence about the light bar.

Got started on the lift today and just about finished the front up. There was a little more rust than expected so it took about 3hrs to do the driver side but it's done. What do you think?
