Appreciate the offer. Do you have a second cross bar? I'd like to get a roof rack similar to stock without drilling into the roof. I don't need a basket, just a couple cross bars to strap long items to.

Affordable Offroad has a Memorial Day sale going on right now, and I went ahead and purchased their weld-in rock sliders for $200 shipped after using the rest of my PayPal balance (~$30). That's $100 per side, basically.
bad_idea, hopefully you could work with these. I mainly purchased them because of the tubing that's already been welded on. I couldn't fab that up without taking it to somebody, and the price was too good to pass up. I think I would spend half of that on just the tube itself.
• Made from 3″x 4″ tubing 1/8″ -Side tubes are 1 3/4″ dia 1/8″ .120 wall
• Comes with door jamb filler strips and instructions
• Fits both 2 and 4 door XJ’s.
• Hand built in the USA!
While it's 1/8" tubing and not 3/16", I don't see myself jumping any rocks so i'm not too worried about it.

I can work with that. Ideally a kit is easier than working from scratch. I like the built in tube on the side. I have similar tubing on mine. Has saved me from bashing my door in a couple times. Slid on a muddy trail sideways into a tree. Also a great spot to jack up with the hi lift.

Only thing about those is they start after the front fender instead of going all the way to the wheel well. If it was me I might add something there while you're at it. I know my rock sliders have scratches from one wheel well to the next. Not knocking them, just offering a suggestion while you have the welding gear out and are cutting at stuff.

I have taken that into consideration and if or when the time comes I'll extend it out to the fender. For now I'll leave it be. I'm sure it'll come back and bite me in the butt though... I appreciate the feedback!

With summer coming around, I have decided to dedicate the next couple of months towards interior mods. More time off from work and school means more time to drive the jeep, which means more time inside the cab, which needs some love. I've started a mini to-do list and will slowly add onto it.
I've uploaded some random pictures to give me some motivation, sorry for so many in one post. Hopefully it gives others some ideas as well.
- Replace all four speakers and relocate front speakers from the door to somewhere else.
- Apply sound deadening to the roof, floor, doors, and rear quarters to help with sound deadening.
- Replace any cracked / missing interior panels along with attaching screws.
- ZJ/WJ seat swap and possibly new driver side seat bracket if I can’t fix the squeaking on the current one.
- Rear storage so dogs don’t hate riding in the back and can reach the windows again, and give me usable space in the rear.
- Remove and clean carpet and dye it black from tan. I don’t want to ditch it, too much road noise without it.
- Wire up my 400W inverter permanently.
- Switch panel system of some sort.

Exactly what he says!
I have been using this stuff for a long time, and I will be doing the very same thing on my XJ with the ceiling.
Stuff works great!

I used that stuff in my 02 Z28 when I installed new speakers. Worked well, quieted down the rattles. I didn't use enough to affect road noise.
The only gripe I had was the smell. It hung around for a while. Was potent for a few weeks. Was noticeable for months. When the car sat in the sun in the summer (with the windows up) for a few days the smell came back, was faint but noticeable.

After bedlining the floors, the smell lingered for a few months afterwards in the summer, I can't imagine it being that bad... I will definitely look at using some kind of peel and seal from Lowes.

No!
The Frost King does not smell at all.
It is made out of self stick foam, and heavy gauge aluminum.
Peal and Seal is the stuff that stinks, and also when it gets hot will kinda melt. Peal and seal is a tar based product for roofing, and it is made to melt into cracks in roofs.
The frost king is sold at Home Depot, and is about $16.00 per roll.
