Hey just a question if anyone has put an adapter on there transfer case and what they did to hold there u joint inside their yoke

Those notches will hold the u-joint ends together until you marry it to the drive shaft. If you break the tiny notch, you will need to get a new yoke.

No I mean the bolts that bolt it to the yoke. The adapter I got didnt have any to bolt it to the yoke. Any ideas?

its part of the drive shaft. you need a front drive shaft to run on the rear. you cant use the rear shaft on a sye. i got the bolts off the same xj that i got the front shaft from at a junkyard.

Hey guys just wanted to update been doing a couple of things to the jeep and haven't been posting. So last night I ordered a pair of ujoint u bolts for my driveshaft , I got my driver side hub and axleshaft back on, and I got most of my brakes on. Ill post some pics when I get some but just a little update.

Looks good man, I was in a similar boat when i was your age, but i was in the middle of restoring my first car(1970 chevelle).

I hope to see you around the Fenton/Holly area. I lived up there for 11yrs, and my parents still do.

A 1970 Chevelle is my favorite car especially with the 454 in it but ya hope to see u around

Updates: got new stabilizer on and u-bolts in so just have to bleed brakes to drive again.
