However, after a recent night drive, I decided anything would be better than the ones currently on the truck, so I bought the higher end Sylvania lights from O'reilly Auto Parts. Much to my delight they turned out to make a huge difference.

I'll probably still install a Putco harness at some point, but for now these are much better. The difference was so significant I actually removed my Hella driving lights. They were not adding a significant amount of additional light to justify keeping them on, and I really like the cleaner look without them. I'm kind of simplification mode right now.
If you haven't already, consider upgrading the headlight harness to AT LEAST the PUTCO. Not only does it make your headlights even brighter, but it will save your headlight switch.

Truck-Lites would be nice. I may do the Putco harness at some point. I want to get the lift sorted out next, as there's a couple of trails I really want to do soon.
I'm leaning toward the shackle relocation brackets, and possibly acos to level it out. I need it to sit a little higher in the rear (when empty) to compensate for camping gear, tool box, cooler, ect when loaded up. Last trip out it was scraping the flares on nearly every bump.

I put on the Factor 55 splicer this evening. I like the clean look of this thing.
Splice only took a few minutes. I like that the rope is easily repairable on the trail.

I've got a Warn winch pull strap if you want it. I don't have a winch and probably won't be getting a warn when I do buy one. If you want it, it's yours.

Thanks. I appreciate that. My winch came with one of those, but I took it off because I thought it would probably get shredded in the wind. Now, that I put the splicer on, there's no way to attach it.

You can loop it through the splicer and then back through the built in loop. Might not be as secure as running the hook through the loop though.

That may work. I'll probably just put it on while using the winch.

Default Loose Ends

I recently fixed a couple of smaller issues with the XJ.
I ordered and installed a center console bracket from DirtBound OffRoad.
It so nice to have the console fixed.

I also installed some clear side marker, and driving lights along with some amber led bulbs. They worked great but, required the flasher relay to be changed (PN EP27). My old lights were in good condition, I just like the look of the clear lights.

I also changed out the factory radio which began to cut in, and out.
This was the second factory radio, as the original failed completely last year.
I also wanted a BT so I could play my iPhone, and take calls hands free. I also replaced the factory door speakers with some new 6.5" speakers.

It's so nice to have a radio again. Especially with my worn tires making so much noise.

I also purchased some Farmtek Chicken coop flooring to use on my roof rack.
https://www.farmtek.com/farm/supplie...15_HA2215.html

This stuff works great as roof rack flooring. It's relatively light weight, is weather proof, and best of all it's cheap. I've been wanting to do this for several years, and decided to order it after my last trip. I used the overlapping style, and secured it to the load bars with some galvanized machine screws. One nice feature of the Surco rack is the load bars use t-slot inserts, so mounting things is very simple. I ordered several dozen extra inserts for mounting the rack my Quick Fists, and my fork mount bike carrier.

I also built a mount for my Farm Jack. I didn't really want it on the roof, but I already had metal brackets that only needed a few holes drilled to secure the jack. It will stay in my shed between trips as I have a bottle jack that works great as long as the XJ is on reasonably level pavement.

I need to remove the rack and paint the roof of the XJ, and put a new coat on the rack as well.

It feels so nice to get a bunch of the smaller things finished on the Jeep. It's motivating me to start on some of the larger things I've been putting off.

Definitely like the look of the clears on it. Nicely done on the hi-lift mount.

Looks good! Where did you get the clears at? I've been wanting to do the same to my XJ.

You can get em on Amazon or eBay. If you wanna pay more for em you can try quadratec, 4 wheel parts, or 4wd hardware

Thank you, I may buy a cover for the jack, and just leave it up there. It's kind of heavy to keep taking on, and off. I'm concerned I'll drop the jack and knock out a window at some point. I'd really like to mount it on the tire carrier, but with the design of the bumper it would need to mount vertically, and it would stick up higher than the rack.
