Awesome that you are pushing through on the build! Seriously.

For sure weird though how you started this for help, but are the expert.

This thread has my attention. The first build I have seen like this. Entertaining!

And just because I am good at beating a dead horse... se...ar..c.... nevermind.

Alright Margret, hold my calls.

Juancho, fetch me my coat.

Ready?

Okay good.

So, let me get this straight. You asked a bunch of questions, got answers, but not the ones you were looking for. So you argue your way into convincing those who have already gone through above steps, that you are infact correct in your findings. And your last build, on 38" mudders, never broke anything, even with a "locked" which at this rate I'm willing to bet was "welded" at best, rear end. All this of course on a rig that appeared to have a Renix clip, so I'd be willing to bet it didn't have enough grunt to break a stock u-joint at a severe angle, which is probably close to the setup the old XJ was running.

So, because your so intrigued by your previous home built billyjoebobthortan lift setup on your last XJ, you've taken it upon yourself to re-engineer the triangulation of a vehicles suspension, without so much as even a calculator.

Listen bub, I understand. I live 50 minutes South of you. I know what Venice is like. I'd be bored as hell there too. And yes again, I've been to Redneck Yacht Club, quite a few times. And its your Jeep, build it as you wish. But the irony of the situation is, this website isn't Pirate 4x4. This isn't ChucksTrucks. This isn't the Facebook page of RYC. This is CherokeeForum.

We're nice, we're helpful. But we don't tolerate stupidity. Build however you want, we'll keep you around for the lol factor. You can't step in the ring with Ali and just think you can box. These guys are trying to help you.

Better yet. Gimme the specs on the XJ, gimme an obo on it. I'll bring a trailer, take it off your hands, and you can get yourself that F-250 you've been dying to get. Hell, I'll help you rig a pair of stars & bars off it, some dual whips, we'll even make a removable stripper pole for RYC.

Also, anytime there is a red line under a word, please right click and select the word you meant to spell.

Oh man come on buddy do stuff right and take some advice from the guys. I don't think you need to spend a ton of money but spend it where it counts. I'm glad to hear you decided to build your brackets Instead of using the stock ones. Here's an idea sell your stock axles and buy hydro assist and a Bunch of steel to plate the frame for your steering and link mounts and axle brackets and maybe a Durango box. As far as axles I would leave that 44 open don't weld it you won't be able to turn on ice haha. I think you'll be alright with 4.10 gears for a while I ran them with 40s for a while it's fine in low range and from the sounds of it that's all your gonna need for mud wheeling. Anyway man Good luck. Also Carry extra shafts for that 44!

I tried to read this thread, but my head started pulsing and I decided I'd rather not have an aneurysm.
