Default 1995 jeep xj restoration

I found a 1995 sport for 250.00 seems to run good So it had a tranny leak new pan gasket fixed that had to replace driver and passanger floor pans put a ome 3.5 lift with rear leafs new tires rims stayed with 31 inch tires I have not changed the upper control arms yet on the list to do. Got new front back bumpers haven’t put them on yet and I have not bought a winch. I’m going to be somewhere around 6000.00 when done and it has 236000 miles. Haven’t had a jeep in a long time wondering if I’m getting too much money tied up in it?

I truly believe this is how XJs should have come like directly from the factory. Good work man!

You're not throwing money away, you're building a known, solid Jeep for about the price of a cheap used car. A running XJ for $250 is a steal, and putting $6k into a full restoration with good parts is smart. You'll end up with a better, more capable truck than anything you could buy for $6,250.

Just stay on top of the maintenance items like the cooling system and steering components with that lift. Enjoy the build.
