1994 XJ build. Project quail killer
Hello! This is my 4th cherokee and I figured it was time to share some of the build info with others. I started with a bone stock xj bought from a guy in San deigo who was the original owner and didnt know how to put it into 4wd. He had never offroaded it so it was extremely clean. I bought it with roughly 150,000 miles for $1400.00. It has a 4.0 I6 HO with an NP231 auto trans 8.25 rear end.

If the title of this build didn't give it away, I bought this jeep mainly for getting to my favorite hunting spots. With that being said I'm still picky and I pay attention to detail. I will be posting pictures related to some hunting trips that the jeep is involved in. On that note we found a pretty big rattler first time out in the jeep!
And the finished product after I skinned and tanned it

A little bigger
I didn't take many pictures of the install of the lift. It took me about 2 afternoons to get the front completed. That's working by myself with a hand from my brother to get the control arms on the axle.
I had the rear done in about 4 hours.
The shackle would hit this bolt when cycled so I hit it with a flap wheel on an angle grander.
Before:
After:
New RE leaf pack
How it sat on stock wheels and tires.
The rear springs were harder that woodpecker lips

And then I towed it to a great place called Banning Driveline so they could work their magic.
I had them throw in an Advanced Adapters SYE before making a new rear driveshaft.
They did an awesome job like usual.
Picked it up and it was ready for a fender trim and then start lookin for some quail
Naturally she was dying to drive
