1994 2dr XJ build thread.
Herein lies the progress of my XJ from fall 2007 - Present.
As it was when i bought it. Had gibson headers and borla catback. Flat leaves, weatherstrip leaks, and nasty carpet.

Rusty's 3" coils and 3.5" leaves. My first wheeling trip to GW State park near Harrisonburg, Va. Open diffs. River wades, and 8ft deep mud-holes had me scared s#itless. I took my cousin and his girl and went it solo with no replacement parts no recovery gear. sunk it up to the airbox too. unstuck by luck. No cell phone reception either. Dumas. =-]

Soft-8's, hubs and JKS LCA's. Lots of shop time and broken skin.
Said WTF at the CA angle at full flex and got RCX CAD kit w/ JKS UCA's.
Much better angle.

Got some crowd control for that Norfolk city driving...oh, and tree and telephone pole protection too. JCR bumper and rails. Fit well and good price. Stage 2 Rails were used for $100, and stage 3 bumper from JCR.
Some axle armor. Ruff stuff diff covers. Drain plugs and countersunk bolt holes. the 8.8 cover was like 20 some lbs. 1/2" ring, 3/8" cover. Bad bastards.
2.25" mandrel bent exhaust w/ kink free downpipe, hi-flow cat, thrush glasspack, through gibson chrome headers. Sounds mean. I'll see if i can get a sound clip.
Did the AA HD SYE, but didn't take any pics.

Some engine work. Did the 99+ manifold swap w/ some porting and polishing. Flowed well, but felt like it was giving too much air. Head work in the future, eh?
Lots of rust repair. Put the plasma to good use.
IRO OTK steering upgrade. I can u-turn in a damn parking space.
New 31x10.5 15 Wrangler Authority's.

welded the floors and used zinc primer. sealed with asphalt wet patch roof sealant. rubber undercoat, and presto: new floors.
Broken exhaust stud for 3 yrs gave me the gusto to order a head, but not before it was reworked and machined. Dont forget the port and polish with bowls blended. Dont ask why. If you have to ask then you dont get it. It's a nice, new, shiny engine part, duh! Lifters, thermo, new plugs. WOOOha!

Engine work. She runs like she's being chased.
I waited until i just had to put coolant back in, and then went full retard:
-forgot to torque the rocker arms and put the cover back on.
-1st time: Didnt use enough thermostat gasket maker on the t-stat housing. Filled it up and noticed before i started it.
-2nd time: forgot to put the thermostat back in after i filled it up again.
-3rd time: Is a charm. Started up and ran like a dream. Steaming off all the coolant that spilled on the headers.
12 hrs straight will do that to a man.
As it sits today. Finishing the floors for winter wheeling. GOD i cant wait till i dont get sprayed in back of the head when driving thru a puddle.
