That sucks. Hopefully it goes well. I was planning on doing mine with the next oil change but I haven't noticed a drop yet so maybe it was the valve cover gasket that I just replaced.

shouldn't be too bad. Watched some videos on it and the hardest part will be just getting the adapter separated from the block.
I guess my ignition switch is on its way out. Went to start my Jeep about 30 minutes ago and there was nothing. No noise from the starter like the battery was dead. Popped the hood and touched that wire(the previous owners spliced in) to the positive terminal and she fired right up with no problems.
I decided to replace my ignition coil because it was old. And I had replaced almost everything else to do with ognition anyways. Glad I did because this one had cracks all throughout the case. Plus it was giving off an orange spark which from what I read meant it was weak. The new one gives off a white spark.
Finally after many hours of searching online, then waiting many weeks. I have acquired the 14mm hex socket needed to change the oil filter adapter o-rings.
I replaced my old Temperature Sensor at the back of the engine and as I was tightening it, it snapped flush with the head. Fun times. Neighbor lent me his screw extractor kit so im gonna try and tackle it tomorrow.
Clearly I went on a hiatus and stopped posting my updates here so here I am. I fixed my oil filter adapter leak. Got a serpentine belt kit for the long metal bar and that made quick work of it. I also hit my first year with the Jeep on february 27th which was awesome! A week after, my water pump went out and so I had that changed. Luckily I needed to change out the coolant so It was a "2 birds, 1 stone" type of deal. And that's about it. The problems are becoming fewer and farther between. Plan on replacing the 5 year old tires here soon. Also plan on adding a heat shield to my fuel rail and injectors. Also plan on upgrading to 4 or 12 holes injectors to lessen the chances of heatsoak and smoother engine idle.
Figured I would also post these pictures from that snowstorm we had a while back. Hadn't seen snow since 2018 so it was nice.(until the power went out)
For the first time since 2015, she has all new tires. Rides 10 times better and has no more shaking at high speeds. Also got ahold of a PCV hose for the Valve Cover. Besides a Transmission flush and a couple other things, everything is almost done.
