What is your vote for?
1. Charcoal / Tan Dash
2. All Charcoal Dash (Was my first plan)
Some updates of April 2011
Got Stock Tint 35% for back door to very back.
50% for 2 front doors
RockerPanels set for repair on the 29th
Electric wiring fix the 28th "Reverse backup lighting, Electric cooling fan, Rear defroster, rear windsheild wiper"
Finished getting all my Jeep logo center caps
Got the 01 Dashboard, center console, steeringwheel, cluster
Got all brand new Chrysler OEM engine 2001 caps "Yellow" Oil cap, Brake Fluid cap, Steering fluid cap, Coolant cap. Old ones were weathered down.
Got my fender flare brakets repaired, waiting to get my flares painted.
Install 01 hatch with the new taillights.
Finishing list to complete my 2001 conversion:
Front / Back 01 Bumper
01 Fenders to match my front clip
2 front 01 Driver/ passager door + the Strikers leaving back doors in as there the same style.
Center steering wheel airbag "Without airbag inside"
Basic maintance:
Install new Tailpipe "Already have"
Get new shocks front/back
Get new Springs
All yeah, forgot to add this in the very begining, but My Cherokee is a everyday driver so I'm just going to leave it stock. But the conversion is a fun project for me, accept for it raining everyday on my dayoff.

Since my Cherokee is getting fixed next week, I came up with a new list.
Going to convert my Cherokee to run the Cluster of a 97-01 and do information on that, Woundering if OBDI will run it, or have to get a OBDII XJ wiring harness.
Looking for the Panel Instrument that the dash parts screw too
Getting the now all vehicle used lighs, Jeep Cherokee XJ LED HeadLights http://www.auto-led.com/img/upload/3844_0.png
Replace my yellow inside Interior lights with white lights.

Have a Question on the 01 Fenders. If I install the 01 fenders will the new built in windsheild wiper fluid fit in fine in the 01 fender and is the wiring a easy connect? I think that it should fit fine "of course I'm going to get the fender style one" Also Noticed that the back hatch I will be needing the interior trim as my trim will be a few inches longer. I'll get size of my hatch opening, still waiting for other 97-01 size.

to finish your look you should add this emblem not to many out there... The emblem goes on the Fenders....

i think it would look perfect if you:
removed the black plastic things above the windows
removed the mud flaps
put the newer fenders on
painted the chrome trim around the windshield
got black door handles
tinted the back windows a nice 35-45%
and a black trackbar on top instead of the chrome would be the finishing touch in my opinion
regardless, it looks great and i have been following your build since before i was even a member on this site!

Got my electric fixed, Backup lights work and just need to replace my rear Windshield wiper motor, witch will swap out the motor out of my 2000 hatch. Just ordered the front and back 97-01 bumper New! Just need to find the 2 front doors 97-01 and the 2 front 97-01 fenders.
Looking for comments on how to do my dash swap with leaving my current cluster in. In the image here is the 84-96 Cherokee Dash, I preinstalled the later dash cluster surround and my cluster will fit but need to find how to fit the box on the left of the cluster somewhere. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0006_large.jpg
97-01 Dash:

I was thinking of placing it in the vent hole but loose the driver side vent. This was my main idea, but maybe hard. Make a custom info box in the small slim box between the cluster and radio.

And then this is my 99% working way I think will work. All the parts are accurate size in this image: http://img220.imageshack.us/i/rdone.jpg/
Leaving the driver side alone and the passager later style.

Well I started today with removing my tailpipe and the muffler since the muffler was getting rusted anyway. So Im going to buy a new one. The guy that is going to fix my rockerpanels changed my date repair now, So don't know when it will be now. This is okay as I will have time to get the fenders and front doors orderd for a all in one work job.
Added 5/01/2011
Got my Tailpipe in and muffler and runs fine now without the hole in the tailpipe.
When I was under my Cherokee, I looked at the floor panels and they all look okay, no rust just has that black spary on protection, witch may get a new coat on it, the hole I was talking about eairler was part of the rockerpanel. I say my next basic maintaince is going to be the 4 shocks and maybe the coilsprings.

Here are one of the colors I would like to get my Cherokee painted.
Forest Green, Patriot Blue, Maroon or Shine Black. Witch would look nice If I ever decide to get it painted? I was always wanting a Forest Green one.
