I agree that bigger is not always better. A friend of mine is going down an inch or two in lift and trimming to get closer to optimal center of gravity.
Yeah, thats why I would stay in the 40" range. Mostly because you can get em cheap once you go a certain height..

I think I saw a set online for like 495. I dont care if I have to build the jeep AROUND them, thats too good of a deal to pass up. Not sure what you pay for tires, but a set of 35s will cost me something like 1000 new, 37s are probably gonna be 1500 and arent nearly as rugged.
Its not like they would be bolted to a dana 30 and 35 anyways.
Rockwells powered by cummins is the only way I can see 49s working out.

I cant imagine having to replace a 49 tho lol.

The main reason that I wouldn't have a set of those tires is that they're really heavy and extremely hard.

You can run those things with no air and still have a hard time getting them to grab a rock.

They'd probably work great in the mud.

About the military tires,
Thats just the thing. Rocks, I dont really see myself trecking much into rock crawling. Its not much fun anymore. Broke ****, got stranded. And im pretty light-footed about it. like I said before I just wanna go anywhere vehicle. Ever seen the toyota hilux rigged for arctic expeditions?
