Default 01 Cherokee Sport DD build

Well I am new to the forum and new to Jeep Cherokee's, I guess I will start off with showing what I bought.

It's a 2001 Cherokee Sport
4.0/Auto
94k miles
all stock

I bought it without showing it to my wife first so when I first brought it home she says, "Oh, so it's a soccer mom car". So I instantly had to start buying stuff for it.

Here are some pics.

So far I have purchased a RC 3" lift, the ones with coils, aal's, and control arms, a set of 17" Moab's with 255/70/17 Goodyear's, and a set of Ford CM-4956 injectors for it.

The lift will be installed tomorrow, I am waiting for the wheel adapters to show up to swap wheels so it will be sporting the factory wheels and 235/70/15's for a day or so.

I am going to order a Magnaflow muffler tomorrow, and probably some sort of open element air filter so I wont swap out the injectors until I am ready to put the intake and exhaust on at the same time.

Here is a pic of the wheels and tires in the back of the XJ.

3", it is going on tomorrow so I measured the heigth in the center of wheel wells and it is 30 7/8's in front and 30 1/2 in the back. I am curious to see what my lift actually gets me.

Well, not all of the parts showed up today, we got the coils, shocks, and aal's on, but the control arms and sway bar lowering brackets didnt come in. I am getting some pretty good vibration coming from the driveshaft now, so as soon as I get back from my trip next week I am going to order a SYE for it. It is now 33" in front and 33 1/2" in back. I got a couple of 3/4" spacers for the front because as of right now it doesnt look like my 255/70/17's are going to fit and not rub, so we may bump it on up a little bit.

Well I got my wheel adapters in and there is no way those tires would work, way to big for the lift I have. I havent decided what to do now. I am going to the tire shop at lunch tomorrow with both sets of wheels and tires and going to see what I can work out.

My muffler still hasnt shown up so I put on a Dynomax Thrush Turbo, I was a little leary of it sounding like a ricer but it doesnt at all. It is just a little louder and deeper than stock. I spent 2 hours today at 2 different tire shops test fitting wheels and tires and because of the stupid 1 1/2" adapters for my new wheels I was going to have to move all the way down to a 245 tire so I just decided to sell the 17's and buy some 15's and run 31x10.50's. I havent found a set just yet but I am still looking, so I will be running the goofy stockers for a few more days.

I broke down today and ordered some 245/65/17's for my JK wheels, I ordered some Hankook RF10's, I really wanted to go bigger but with what I currently have they just wouldn't fit. I have already secured some 3" spacers for the front and I want to replace the AAL's in the back with leaf packs so I will probably end up buying 6" leafs and putting in the spacers at some point over the next several months. I will post pics tomorrow once I put the new wheels and tires on.

Finally got my wheels and tires mounted. I also found an Advance Adapters SYE for $150 on Craigslist and I am waiting on them to call me back to go get it.
