I know also that there are several other people on here that have been.

It is a very large place to go and camp for the weekend and ride, be stupid, have fun, and maybe have a lil alco while there... lol staff and people out there with you are very cool and always welcoming.
Awesome place to hang n ride with friends n fam.

Tried to get the XJ to do a swan dive, didn't get the results that I was aiming for.

Nope. Just used the engines vacuum system to clean the motor internally with unfiltered swamp water to enhance motor performance and internal cooling abilities.

I think it's time for a snorkel.

That's crappy, I was worried about my 93 when I first did the snorkel but even putting the hood underwater it held tight. Just had to silicone the distributor too.

Last new years(10') when I came down I had 2 do new brakes on the front end, new tps, new dside hub and wore agroove around the inside of my tire where my rotor melted into it. Had to fix all that b4 I drove er back here to atl. 8)
But the fun was soooo worth it. 8) We had blast and drank like crazy. 8)
I def recommend it to anyone that has never been there.
Thanks~Paul

Totally worth the fun! Here's some cell phone pics from this past event -

Making Camp Cherokee.

Live concert Saturday night.

Bonfire!

Intoxicated FWD offroading for the win!

Making water come up to the windshield is fun. Going deeper and faster is more fun. The water ripping the front clip off is just lol worthy.

It's floating! :rofl1:

^^ OOOPSS! Lol, thats deeper then I thought. And it stayed running, right up to the moment it hydro locked.

But it's a Jeep. Check the crank, pull the plugs, fire it up, re-install, continue on your way. (Mr War-Wagon working some magic)

Snatching on a 22 year old rusted hitch results in a broken hitch, lost bumper, & bent body. And lols, lots of lols.

RYC is so worth $40 for a weekend pass. Bring a load of beer, a load of food, a load of fuel, and some tools, and gather up some friends, most fun you'll have. And considering they have tons of medical teams and security on staff should something happen (most of which drive XJ's around the park) full buggy wash, porta-pottys everywhere, a live concert at night, Vendor Road, etc. etc. Advance Auto Parts brings a semi-truck of parts, and anything else you need, they have pickup trucks shuttling back and forth to their stores every few hours to get you any other parts they don't have on hand.

Outside of that little oops, I didn't get stuck one time. U-Boat, did you see me on the rock pile just before I did that sly move??
