Default Tire Vulcanizing

Hey!

Anybody know of anywhere around the New River Valley (Blacksburg, Christiansburg, etc) area that will do tire vulcanizations? I have a 1+/- inch cut in one of my BFG MT KM1s, and really don't want to have to get rid of the tire over that.

Thanks!

Hey Case. I thought tire vulcanizing was for retreading? You'd probably end up spending more than a used tire would cost, that's if you can find one.

I have some swampers I need to do this too as well. Issue is most places wont do sidewalls. Some truck stops might have the ability too as well.

Quote from one of their reps:

"Thank you for your recent inquiry online. Regarding vulcanization, we do a one piece plug patch tire repair when fixing tires.

We also do tire retreading.

We do not vulcanize/"Hot patch" any tires as this is no longer the practice of the RMA.

Our retread plant can vulcanize Medium Commercial & Farm/agricultural tires, but it depends on the repair that is needed."

Will keep you guys posted...
