OCC, the Wheeling Club! Get out on the Trail!
OCC is a responsible wheeling club with a great bunch of people who stick together and leave no one behind. We welcome newbies into the fold and there is a helping hand whenever one is needed. Our club truly is a tight group. And we wheel A LOT. Our membership consists of a broad spectrum; from people who think George Washington National Forest (GWNF, stocker trails) is the best thing since sliced bread to the people who think it "ain't fun til its broke and smokin' ". This year there are many great off-road events scheduled for OCC. Most years there have been at least 2 trail rides per month. These runs can vary from an easy day run drive through the GWNF to weekend trips and organized events, such as Big Dogs, which cater to stockers through the hard-core "trailer queen" trail rig crowd. We even have a few guys with buggies who compete at events like RCROCKS and King of the Hammers (KOH). OCC also joins other nearby associations for trail run events, trail clean-ups and other group activities. If you don't see an event on the dates you are available, join us on our OCC E-mail Forum/List and start a run yourself.

My son (Rockheadsson) and I (Rockhead) are planning on running Potts Mountain sometime over the weekend of the 15th and 16th of June. I'll have a new SYE installed by then (: can't wait to try it out on the open road. Anyone interested in going down for the ride? Potts is located about 30 or 40 minutes west of Salem VA.

How about Big Boys Saturday and Potts Sunday!
We'll talk tomorrow during the SYE install.

Hey everyone, new to the jeep world/forum here. I live in Reston, VA and I just picked up a 5.5" lifted XJ on 33s. Got a good deal on it but had to put a decent amount of money in for some necessary maintenance like ball joints, u-joints, exhaust, etc. But now it's time for me to actually get some use out of this rig and see what it can do. I saw the posting of the OCC but I am completely new to off roading. Does anyone have any plans to meet up anytime soon?

Running Potts Mountain in the morning. Meeting at 10 am in Salam VA exit 141 off of 81. We will be doing it again and going to the Cove with Big Dogs in the future.
Do you guys camp out at Pott's trail or is it just a day trip? I wouldn't mind finding a place where I can go out for the entire weekend and do stuff like swimming/mountain biking/off roading all while camping on site. Are there any places like this around?
Just tried attaching an image of my jeep on here--not sure if it'll work though

Hey guys. New to the whole forum thing, so didn't realize this thread was here. I'm up here in the upper loudoun/purcellville area, so figured I'd just say hi. Seen quite a few XJ's rolling around, and hope to see more in the future! Don't forget to wave.

We had a fun time running Potts on Sunday. There is a state camp ground around the base of Potts and you can camp at the top in an open meadow. Try one of the big dogs events at the cove, lots to do at the cove. Google bigdogsoffroad.
