NC coast wheeling spots
Hey guys I'm gonna be headin to Emerald Isle around the second week of August and am looking for an excuse to bring my jeep lol. I was just wondering if there were any fun places to go wheeling or even just drive on the beach (I don't know if that's only in the off season or what). I'm at 3" with 31s and no winch so noting crazy, just something fun maybe some dunes or something. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Yeah, you can only ride on the beach in the off season and it's like $80 for a beach permit. I used to live in EI, now I live across the bridge. All the decent wheeling spots are illegal to wheel in. It used to be fine, but they started crackin down on it. Some people still do it and get away with it though. BUT, you could drive about an hour southeast of EI to a town called Davis, take a ferry to Cape Lookout and have a blasty-blast all up in them dunes. Thats what I like.

Trip went great man. Took Davis Ferry there. Wasn't too badly priced. Cost 145 for round trip of the Jeep and 5 people. Left at 11 am, got back on the ferry to return at 6 pm. Here's a few shots from the day.
