Default I need some parts and advice

I recently bought a 99 2door XJ... She's got 167000 miles and running strong. My XJ is in great mechanical order, but there are a few things it needs...

1. I need those little plastic ***** that go on the back of the seats so passengers can get in the back.

2. My drivers side door sags when I open it. When its closed it wiggles and squeeks, as soon as I open the door the thing just kinda slopes down a quarter of an inch as if it's loose. The hinges look like they've never been removed. My nabour sugested there may have been plastic washers in between the hinge at one point in time if thats the case. Wear can I get those?

3. My XJ is as I said in great mechanical order but it apears she mad love to a rock with her rear drivers side quarter panel. It is a gnarled mess and the only way to repair it is to get a new quarter, I can't find quarters for sale for the newer model 2 door XJ's. I can only find them for the older model 2 door. I need help finding a place to buy them from or if some one has a 99 2 door shell they are willing to cut up.

Any help is apreciated.

for the number 2 question. you can either try tightening the bolts. if they are like my 00 then they are torx heads. when u do this try to hold the door up a lil less than all the way up. or else it wont mesh the seals and youll leak water. if there is not a metal insert that slides in sideways between the hinge and the bolt heads then go to the jy and get them off of the doors on any model xj. i didnt mess with my hinge when i took my doors off and when i bolted them back on i had the same problem. i didnt have the bolts tightened all the way. then i had to redo them because the seals were off and i got a floorboard puddle everytime it rained.

#1 junkyard or craiglist from people parting cherokees out.

the answer to number 2 is autozone, advanced, napa....basically any parts store had door shims. if you was closer id give you some i have laying around. i suggest getting the metal ones that way they wont break again. they should be in the "help" section as thats where i got mine.

for number 3 you might have to do what i did and take the panel off a wrecked cherokee. keep an eye out in craigslist for people parting them out or junkyard. best advice i can give you for that is make sure you have a spot weld drill bit. makes a huge difference as opposed to trying to use a regular drill bit. i got mine for a couple bucks at harbor freight.

Got the metal shims part... does anyone know if the quarters from an older model Cherokee line up to the 97-2001 cherokee. I know that the chasis are almost identical some sites say the rear quarters are for up to 96 others say up to 2001...

mtparker97 your signature makes me sad... Because I know how to sew but never had a chance to learn how to weld

thats funny right there. dont worry i had to teach my wife how to run the sewing machine but thats a little secret. what it means is women sew to make two pieces of cloth stick together as men (mostly) make two pieces of metal stick together lol.

i should be able to compare the newer body style with the old one tomorrow if someone shows up with an older body style that is. but im pretty sure they are not the same as they kind of rounded or smoothed the body lines to flow a little better but not 100%. you do konw you have to be able to weld to replace a rear?
