Been checking the for sale section and not really seeing anything that close enough to justify the cost, so with that being the case.....
Any one in the mid atlantic (preferably eastern/northern VA or eastern/northern NC areas) know of a HP D30 in good shape? Just need the housing - no knuckles, gears, shafts, etc. Looking to spend about $100.

Gotcha.. I have a buddy with 3 or 4 sets of non stock ratios and was hoping I could steer buisness his way.
ANyway good luck with finding a housing... it is getting harder and harder to find cheap parts...

Tell me about it. I may just have to suck it up and tear one apart at the PnP and spend too much. Unless they run a sale, then I' may be able to get a decent price on one.
then he quotes me the same 300 for a complete ho72 housing

I told him we might do buisness on the ho72's but I will just buy a new 9" housing
I'll take your $$
I have a D30 hp from a 91 XJ. left lca bracket is bent. Good time to weld on HD brackets.
knuckles and axle shafts removed. 3.55 gears still in it. But I can full strip it if you want.
Warrenton, Va
I may be at Ft Lee, near Peatersburg, on the 19th.

Pick and save in Lynchburg has one, its been gutted to just the knuckles, no gears or shafts. still bolted in just by the control arms and track bar, that is all. We were debating on grabbing it for a ZJ, but didnt have time. It will cost $40 with knuckles removed. Or you can just grab a complete one for just $125.
