Default Cherokee Crawl, anyone on here going?

Anybody in or around Roanoke going to the "Cherokee Crawl" in Harlin KY this July? I'm looking for someone to convoy with. I'm also looking for a place to park my rig and sleep in it for a couple of nights while I'm there.

Let me know

Awesome! DaveS98, where are you traveling in from? I'm going down I81 out of Roanoke on Friday the 5th, early in the morning.

Edit; I see you are in Chatti, you will coming from the opposite direction than me.

I'm torn between this and staying local if that other dude on NAXJA wants to go. Need to get the pig running first and do a full tune up.

I wish I could leave on the 4th but I have a lot going on that day. If you have any troubles around Roanoke, call me. I will PM you my number before the 4th.

What kinda rigs are you guys sporting for intermediate?

Ill be in my 00, 4.5" lift, new 35" Mickey MTZs, Custom 3 link long arms, a pair of WARN sliders, solid diff guards, rustys tank skid, and maybe a rear aussie by then.

I might end up leaving on the 4th after all. Maybe we can meet up in Roanoke and make the rest of the trip together.

My rig can run the hardcore stuff but with a 5 hour drive home and 200k on the engine/tranny, I'm not going to push my luck! She is no trailer queen either, I drive this rig to every trail ride.

My rig is not anything special. I put my money where it counts, lockers-recovery-skids-axle shafts.

1996 original 4.0/AW4 with 200k on them. The NP231 has the Tera 2-low kit and an Advanced Adapters HD SYE. D-30 front with RCV shafts, Full case Detroit, Cryoed Yukon 4.88's, trussed. the rear is a 29 spline 8.25, Aussie locked, Yukon shafts, RuffStuff truss, crush sleeve eliminator, ZJ disc brakes, shaved, shock mounts raised, Cryoed Nitro 4.88's

Warn XD9000i winch, Logans front bumper, ARB snorkel with Spectre inline air box. Home made roof sliders, Detours sliders/frame stiffeners, Tomken tank skid, Warn T-case skid(reenforced), factory engine skid.

35" BFG MT's on Crager soft 8's. RE 4.5" springs with ACOS up front and Shackle relocation boxes in the rear. Currie johnny jointed LCA's, Iron off road JJ'd UCA's, Currie JJ'd track bar, RE drop brackets, JKS quick disconnects.

Its fugly but functional and has been a very reliable trail rig. This trip to Harlin will be its last one though. Its time to strip this one down and build a new one. I hope it gets me there and back!

Of course I will. He's got enough Jeep parts to put it back stock and sell it for 6 grand.
