Default Charlotte area members, can you help?

Hey all,
I'm looking for a shop to do some work on my XJ.
Can anyone recommend a quality shop within an hour or 2 from Charlotte?

thanks!

Or maybe someone who's interested in making some money on the side installing a lift kit in my 99 XJ.

How soon do you want it done? I'm out of town until the end of August and could give you a hand doing it if you wanna wait that long. Or, I can give you the user names of a few guys in the Charlotte area that might be able to help you out.

As far as a shop goes...only one I know of that I would trust is Tarheel 4x4 off Tryon up near the UNCC campus. I've been in there a few times and the guys in there are very friendly. I havent had any work done by anyone down there though.

Also, what brand/size kit do you have? Knowing that would make it easier to determine how long it will take.

BDS 4.5 short arm.

I didn't order the kit today... yet.
But depending on shipping I'm aiming to be done by the end of July.

As far as shops go, theres one in Indian trail called Sullivans Off-Road Shop. Its off Industrial Drive. Theres also one up near UNCC across from pullapart sorta called Tarheel 4x4 which is off of North Tryon. But if you want Id be willing to help you put the lift kit on sometime. Just make sure you spray the hell out of the bolts and whatnot a couple of weeks before we attempt to do the lift kit. Adamk helped me do mines and it went together without a hitch really.

Welch automotive in pleasant garden. They get it done right, honest and are priced very reasonably... They fixed my vibes with a tcase drop and shims and even replaced a leaky coolant hose they found and it was like $100 for alll parts and labor.

No website. Give them a call and talk to them. Maybe try to get a quote. I had a very good experience with them. It did take about a week though, but they were trying to find the right t case drop and shim combo to fix my vibes so kind of understandable.

Call Brandon at Rides of Conover, you would be better to order the lift kit through him aswell.

Hell do you right, and save you money. Can do anything you need, fab work, etc... Tell him Eric Schmitt sent you.
