I live in Charlotte and I had a red 99 that I put a RE 3.5" super-ride kit with full rear leafs and 31 BFG all-terrain tires on. It was my first car I got it when I was 16 and I only sold it reluctantly in 2011 to help pay for my VW R32. About the only thing they have in common is their color, but the VW does have AWD bc I wasn't about to give that up!

I'll get some pics in a bit.

I wish I could make one last trip but ain't got time. Good luck! and be careful, had a friend just roll his xj a couple weeks ago on dutch john. he was trying to keep up with a buggy.
