Wish you could make it out, Mike. But, a day with the new Jeeper is definitely better in all honesty.

Im still coming, but sadly I will be 2wd only. I got the rear regeared only to have both the rear axle seals blow out. By time I got that fixed there just isnt enough time for me to swap in my new 4.56 front axle.

I dont think it will be a problem and if I run into trouble hopefully somebody can just give me a pull.

With the rain the sand should be pretty packed and if you stay in others tracks you should be alright. If not, we'll have lots of tow straps.

Assuming this is rain or shine as based on current forecasts looking more like a soggy day. I'll be leaving Richmond by 5am so please post if plans change.

Wish I was still up in NC. I could use a trip to OBX right now. Have fun and be safe out there.

It's rain or shine. Little rain never hurt anyone.

"Since you (NO RDPLZ) appear to be the leader, I'll tell you to stay off the private roads"

And you can tell by the pics above we didn't listen so well.

Who said that? All the private land up there is clearly marked. Those roads are public and mapped roads

Looks like it was a lot of fun, how far up did you guys go north? I know just south of the fire house there is a road with street signs that say deep holes use caution. When I was up last week I took the wj down that road, needless to say I turned back once I hit one hole when the water came up over the hood haha.

It was as sheriff being a jerk. Corova calls ahead to them whenever they see a large group in a caravan coming down and the sheriffs get all tight about it. I told him we'd stay on the public roads and he was like, "Well, I still don't want you back there but if you go don't tear it up."

We didn't do anything more to that hole than what was already there and we stayed on public land so nothing illegal in any way.
