Default state laws in ny?

anyone kno of any law that addresses the use or lack of a license plate light, my 93 didnt come with one from the factory but i just relocated my plate to the swing out tire carrier i made and im wondering if im gonna get hammered for this, even tho i didnt have a stock one from the factory anyways

More or less if the vehicle came with one,it's needs to have it.Usually not seriously enforced on trucks.Get it inspected and see what happens.Worst is you'll have to put on a cheapo light jusr for inspection.

well ive got ohio plates so i dont have to have an inspection, but i kno i got pulled over for it on a truck i used to have about 4 years ago but it was OE with one and my jeep aint and i dont wanna junk up the back with a bunch of wiring like i have the front
