Hi Folks: I was just thinking of this place, close to Tabernackle. I remember these big pillars along the road. Between the pillars was a road that led into the woods. There was a fire-watch tower out there. My Uncle was driving. We somehow went from the tower , West, or South-West through some pretty knarley back-woods, sand, creeks, etc. We ended up on a road with loads of campers. Looking at a map, I'm guessing this was Carranza Blvd. I gotta do that again.

Hi: It’s been a while since I’ve been to Forked River Hill. I got there off Lacey Rd just west of the parkway. It’s in the South side. There was a buildup of dirt at the entrance. You can get there off 532 also, a little ways west of Rt9. I haven’t been there since the 90’s.. Probably urban sprawl now..

Did you see the Carranza Memorial? Something I've been meaning to to check out for a while now.

Hi: I stopped at the Memorial on another day. I think I was going to follow that dirt road south to wherever, but didn’t go very far..

Default Best Green/Green-ish level trails in south jersey

Hey all,

Stil pretty novice, I’ve done some softroading around batsto village / I think pine barrens/ wharton . But was seeing what other locations might be in the green / close to green territory.

looking for spots where things don’t get too narrow/steep where a clean/baby lifted stock rig without lockers on 30s could fare well at without getting too beat up. Would like some terrain to have some fun with though!

appreciate any location names, links to videos, entrance locations anyone could provide! Thanks in advance

If you’re up in Ocean County, there is a Success Lake. A little washboard on the west entrance, and some sugar sand on the East, but a nice quiet place in the woods.
There is a Reed Rd behind great adventure, not too soft and lots of trails I never went down.
Another huge area east of 532. Cranberry bogs and a swimming spot, way long time ago anyway.
