Default South Jersey 92 Cherokee For Sale

Although I have not been on the forums very long I have throughly enjoyed the time with my Jeep. I mainly picked it up because I had never owned a Jeep and was always interested in having one for myself after riding in a few of my friends Jeeps, so I picked one up with the intent on fixing it and having a fun daily driver/trail toy. Unfortunately money had gotten tight and I wasn't able to find the funds to get some work done to get the front differential back in proper working order. When the front drive shaft is in I get a pinging noise, which is not the U-Joints as I replaced those, and the front pinion has quite a bit of play so I'm pretty sure it's the bearing. Back to present day hard times have arrived and my wife was let go from her job but we're trying to make the best of it and she would like to try and take some college classes. This of course means I need try and scavenge up some money therefore the Jeep is for sale so I can try and use some of the funds to pay for the course and the rest to try and find a small car to get around with. This is by no means a sob story or anything of that nature just a small history as to why I'm posting my Jeep for sale and my adventure on to something new (until I'm able to pick up another XJ).

If someone on here knows anyone who would give the Jeep a good home that would be great and I also have a bunch of misc. spare parts that will go to the new owner as long as they are an enthusiast (if its just a random buyer from craigslist I'll probably keep the parts and get them to someone who needs them.) Inspection is due in Feburary of this year and I have my doubts it will be gone by then so I will update when I get it reinspected if it matters to anyone.

Thanks for the read and here is a link to my ad.

Default axle noise

The axle noise could be the ball joints are worn, letting the front axle shaft go out of alignment. (I figure you ruled out the easy stuff, like worn hubs, no grease in u-joints, etc.)

Good luck selling it, maybe if we get a big snow storm your phone will start ringing.

Appreciate the good lucks. As for the front axle I'm fairly certain it is the bearing being that the front yoke is able to be moved up, down, left and right not just able to turn side to side. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Past inspection without an issue. Now I'm also considering trades for any manual trans car so we can try and save on fuel. The wife is going to need to drive further and I'm already driving an hour to work.

Jeep has moved on although I am a bit worried about it's fate but it's out of my hands now. Thanks to everyone for the support.

I got a phone call the day he got it home saying it wouldn't start so I asked what he was doing to it. I never had an issue with it not starting aside from when the old starter went bad which was replaced with a new one very recently, not to mention the wife was using it all that day prior to him picking it up. While asking him what the symptoms were I heard the jeep fire up in the background and when I asked what happened there was a long pause before the reply of his friend "wiggled a black wire" came out which makes me believe something was being tinkered with and it felt as if the blame was trying to be put on me. Maybe I just interrupted it incorrectly but I really dislike being accused of something I had no part of let alone lied to if that was the case.

some people just suck and look for the easy way out in life. I wish you still had it now cause I'd be on my way to buy it this weekend.
