Thanks for the heads up. That's ridiculous though. If they don't want you to say then do this **** << See ****'s bleeped out, why would you give a vacation to someone for saying a word that you have the authority to bleep? Doesn't make sense to me.

Also to the OP, how far away is the closest hospital?

No, i totally understand and thank you for shedding more light onto the situation. I probably should have done more research into this but didn't. And it wouldn't be an every day thing. I hate government intervention. I knew the government likes to pick everyone's pocket but the closer to adulthood i get, the more and more rediculous it seems to become!

That might be a problem also. If someone rolls over or something horrible happens thats 45 minutes the would have to wait till the can get help. I'm not trying to put down the idea either but if someone is bleeding out they might not make it while driving to the hospital.

But they still have to fly out there, and find you. This is a pretty big plot of land from what ktmrider is saying.

Dang guys your starting to scare the poop outta me. I am also designing to trail to avoid harsh off camber senerios to prevent roll overs and if you do happen to roll, you aint going far. So the trail is pretty safe while still challenging enough to be fun.

It's not that far. I'm in Altoona and it's only a little over an hour. If it happens, I'll give it a go.

That sounds like it would be a good idea.

With so many out of work do you really want to only invite ones with health care? [It's] not their fault the don't have health care because [the] economy sucks.
I'd like to think that I am (and hopefully others should be) responsible for the choice to participate in an activity that can result in injury and damage.

And believe me, I feel your pain. We all have a right to adequate health care no matter our employment status. However, I think that KTMrider is talking about a small group of guests with a similar interest in off-roading enjoying that pursuit at his family's land on an occasional basis.

As KTMrider put it, "I would try to exclude the "sue you" type. I'd hope people would realize that wheeling land is hard to come by and you wheel at your own risk. So with that being said I hope only decent people would come." And if that means not inviting some folks because their economic or family situations might lead them to sue if an accident happens, KTMrider is the host, and we can't all be invited to his party.

My advice to KTMrider is to keep the group size down to three or four who have adequate insurance and financial security and are willing to come help cut trails and ride a little, too. You can more likely keep a handle on the "sue you" types if you get to know them in that situation. It's just too bad that you can't trust anyone any more. I can't think offhand of other ways to avoid persons with a propensity to sue.
