Okay I posted this in the tech forum also so if that is taboo let me know and I will fix it. I am going to be doing an engine swap with my new to me 2000xj. I am swaping in an engine from a 93xj. Anyone around that can give me a hand I would appreciate it.

Some say u don't have to but I like to pull off the headder then pull the motor trans and t-case all out at once. Those upper bolts an the bell housing make me mad! Like to work on stuff all out in the open. Also re use the 00 intake but use the 93 head it gives u a little more snort.

If he doesn't re use the 2000 head (I'd buy an aftermarket head to deal with the weak casting) he will have try to figure out something to hold the c.o.p ignition just get an after market head for a 2000 so you can do things the right way.Save a big headache for an extra 350 for a new head.

I'm goin to try replacing the main and rod bearings first to see if that helps the problem. If not then a swap it will be.
