And you have no sye (slip yoke eliminator) or tcase drop as of now? But you want to put a (guessing) 1"drop on it? Correct?

I would say a drop would be good.... A slip yoke eliminator is the "right" way to do it.... But there's nothing wrong with a drop for now. Hell, mines still dropped an inch without a sye haha. All you should need for that job is a floor jack and some wrenches, sockets, ratchet.... I think there's 2 bolts and 2 studs/nuts. Support the tcase with the floor jack, remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts. If the studs come out with the nuts, lucky you. If not, double nut the studs and remove them. Install your drop and new longer hardware. Done!

Try a breaker bar? Or a pipe or something to make your ratchet longer?

Soak them in pb blaster and invest in a stud remover set. If you use an impact you will be doing more harm than good. My stud came out with a regular 3/8" ratchet and a lot of pressure to make the teeth in the remover dig in. Jake helped me do my sye. Just buy a front driveshaft and use a hack n tap. It's worthwhile as far as vibes, and you get more clearance. When I got rid of my t case drop it made a world of difference.
