Put fresh Ujoints in both driveshafts and the U joint closest to the front axle pinion and the U joint closest to the rear axle pinion are really stiff, simple way to fix this? I checked for burs and cleaned each hole out, any ideas?

i added alot of extra grease and i originally thought that was the issue so i scraped some out but they still wouldnt go in properly, its nice and smooth moving just where the last clip wouldnt quite go in, its so close from where it works to where it doesnt about half a clip

Kinda hard to imagine. But I think I understand what about a lite tap with the old hammer I use an old socket that just fits in thereon the cap. I have had a similer problem where I couldn't get the clips to grab.

My girlfriend is the one who got me into jeeps. She had a 02 WJ then now 98 XJ. Her dad had a 01 WJ, 96 XJ, 00 WJ. Her mom had a 01 WJ, 2011 grand cherokee, 2013 compass, and now a 2014 Cherokee. I'm not sure but I think she may also had a grand wagoneer once.

thats the thing, a light tap with the hammer to make the clip seat turns into the U joint not being able to move back and forth, the 1/16 of an inch becomes an instant nightmare haha
