Currently cleaning up the garage for a day of work on the comanche on Wednesday. Hopefully it'll be getting close to a test start. Also going to get my driveshaft from jake on Thursday. Looks beefy as hell and can't wait to get it in the truck

Anyone ever replaced the rear leaf springs? Mine are shot and hopefully I got all the parts I need. Newer springs, u bolts and bushing kit. Never tried to tackle a job this big. I only have basic hand tools. How deep will I be in if I start a project like that?

if the bolts come out easy it isn't that hard. But they probably won't. Plan for a weekend lol. And use lots of PB blaster for weeks before, and heat on the nut inside the framerail.

Soak everything in pb blaster, the leaf spring and shackle bolts can be a *****. Where are you located? Encase you run into issues, doesn't hurt to know if someone on here would be willing to lend a hand if your close enough.

But, could take about 2 hours, or a few evenings. depends on circumstances.

I'm in Monroe county. The springs will get done eventually. I have no power tools or air tools. No cutting torches. Just me and a few cheapo hand tools. I've done a bit of work on it up to this point but this may be the hardest part to date. Anyone got any good ideas for where to get a windshield replaced? Mines got a pretty good crack right in front of my view so it probably won't pass inspection.

It's not registered insured or inspected yet. Been a slow project vehicle. But I need to get it on the road.
