I believe 99+ were low pinion. If there's not too much destruction to mine you can have it cheap. It just needs beefier lower control arm mounts. Also I have really good upper and lower control arms for a 4.5 lift that can go with it

Sweet ok let me know once you have it pulled, I could always rebuild it and put a mechanical locker in it right? Or is it locked already?
I have a new set of lowers that came with my kit but are not adjustable, I think they just correct camber but not sure. If I'm going to be going up 1.5"s there is no reason to install them now.

Its open with 3.55s right now. Weld on LCA mounts are about 30 bucks and super beefy. I have Fat Bob's fixed lowers and really nice BDS adjustable uppers

Ok I'm going to have to do more research. I'm just not sure which direction to go with it next. I drive it on the turnpike every weekend totaling about 250 miles every weekend so I have to keep that in mind until I can get something else to make that trip every week.

I think only some 99s have the low pinion depending on the month it was made. Mine is a 99 and has a high pinion

Ok is it just the pinion angle that makes it less desirable? My gf has the 98 maybe I can talk her into switching with me lol. Yea right that'd never happen.

Some very late model 99's do have the low pinion. It seemed like most of them we sold were 4cylinders till all the 2000s showed up on the lot.

I think the ring and pinion are supposed to be weaker as well

So, out here fishing on the river with the woman, sister and her husband.... brother in law catches a tiny 12inch cat, and is messing with it in the water acting like he was afraid to grab it... so I grab it and unhook it and tell my sister to take a picture of it with him. As she is taking a picture I smack him in the face with the tail haha, picture was taken right after impact
