cut some hood vents today, I think they look pretty decent, just need to clean up how the trim looks a little bit....anyone have any tips on how to get door molding around right angle turns and look clean?

Nice vents! I had the same issue with mine. I took the molding off and painted the surround with under coating. It has worked for 2 months and many rains and washes. Just tape it off nice and straight and take your time. Hope this helps.

not a bad idea, my only issue is my cuts weren't that straight, and are those drip pans that you have put on with the screws?

Yes those are drip pans. I used the part I cut out for the pans. I have a fabrication thread called I finished my hood vents.

Just cut them out a little larger and make the cuts straight.

yeah I guess I could just take the dremel to them and clean them up....I did the initial cuts with a jigsaw....fast, but not clean

steve we can cut them with a cutting wheel on a angle grinder, i can make nice cuts with those, how did you guys attach the grille

Mine are stuck on with silicone on the backside of the hood, I followed that one write up for the most part

I followed the same write up. For the parts where turns on right angle I just cut the peices and pushed them together then dressed up the corner with liquid electrical tape lol. It looks good from a distance. I plan on redoing them a little bigger anyway.
