95 xj

My 95 xj is having a lot of problems. I went to put a light bar on it and ever since I unplugged the battery it won’t shift out of first gear. I’ve tried manually shifting it and that didn’t work. Before I got the light bar it would ideal weird and shut off sometimes and now I’m also have the battery and check engine light come on and off when driving. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

What's the condition on the battery, alternator, and the wires?

Ever cleaned the throttle body?

It’s a new battery and a newer alternator.

Sounds electrical... Did you check and clean grounds? Check battery cable tightness? Fuses? Notice anywhere that the harness may be damaged?

So I bought a 99 jeep liberty with the 4.0 v6 and 3 speed auto transmission. Thinking about a 12 inch lift, whose got pics of 12" lifts

Are you looking to trim fenders? I think you can run 31's on 12" lift without trimming but you would need to trim fenders to fit 215's without a lift
