Quote: Not sure why you quoted Galen, but i did say that in my post... And regardless, you should at least give rausch a try once, it's got things that you can't find on most private property.

Edit: and just knowing the property owners doesn't make it legal, you need their permission....for your sake, written form With signatures I'd always best..haha

I really hope to be ready by spring, my XJ needs a few mods. Mostly needs the fenders trimmed big time. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to vehicle off-roading. So I will probably take it slow at first. Probably start on the easy to moderate stuff. I have been into mountain biking for awhile and understand the concepts of off-roading such as picking lines, maintaining momentum, etc. Hopefully some of the basic theories from my mountain biking knowledge apply.

man I'll show you how to make some flares thatll make everyone jeeliz

Its a bit different from mountain biking, you cant really see as well...which is the hardest part. And if you have no spotters or just people who arent good picking lines for you that can be a headache, but instinct is usually a good bet! I never found it fun to take lines/trails/obstacles out of my jeeps league. You just end up destroying the trail and it kinda ruins it for the more serious guys, dont wanna be 'that' guy who took an hour to make it up a ledge, but ****ed everything up in the process...

I have a certain design I'm going for on the flares. Maybe I can show you some concepts of what I'm thinking. Thanks for the explaination on linking mountain biking and off-roading. I won't be the guy to push my jeep to limits, I would go to Rausch to have fun and hang out.

Went to change my engine mounts last night with some new Brown Dog rubber ones.

Found out my pass side engine bracket was only being held on with hopes and dreams. 2/3 bolts sheared off in block, 3rd was maybe half way backed out.

yay
