well as of right now I have the opportunity to buy a p pumped 4bt right now that runs good for 500 bucks just dont know if its worth putting all the time and money into the swap. now granted I agree with you I want to do a tdi swap when the 4.0 blows but im still trying to figure out which route is best.
I don't intend on getting to fancy and I have several good spots to start mounting it to. I'll have to figure out a few more for safety's sake but otherwise I should be fine. Is your cage internal? If so could you post some pictures, I have never actually seen an internal rollcage.

The tube work in the front will be tied into the cage, and I still need to figure out what I'm doing for the rear exactly. Those pics are a mix of current-torn-apart and old setup....

Either buy and resell the 4bt, or pass on it. It's not with it. You could also pick up a Vw TDI for the same price, and get a bellhousing adapter for a stock trans.
Yeah now the only other thing is the bell housing and throw out bearing because I would want to bolt it to an ax15

I just crammed an entire Renix 4.0 worth of power into my 4.0. Lol.
Diesel swaps are cool, but at this point it's easier for me to just cram more boost into the 4.0 if I want more power

Sitting level, does this look like I have to much driveshaft slip area exposed, should my ds be longer, or do I have enough room before the shaft separates? It looks like the splines are just about showing there..
Sorry about in focus photo. And I know I have to cut LCA mounts yet...
