just new 31's...no need for such large tires to do my occasional offroading

...did you get 40's? or 39.5's rather....cause, im sure losing that half inch is gonna cost you big time on the trails...i kinda wanna see a pic of you heep on 40's now

his jeep is still on jack stands. His tires still haven't been mounted on wheels yet.

Any of you guys ever run a Stihl MS271? Looking at getting one for my old man for chrimbus...he has an old 029 wood boss from the 80's it looks like...

I believe that's what mine is. It's a farm boss that had a 16"bar, 50.x cc engine. I put a 20"bar on it with a full chisel chain, modified the muffler, and tweaked the carb.....things an animal, straight beast.

I picked up an old Sears gear drive with a 24" bar from my buddy a while ago. Just gotta get around to making it run.

Probably a little big to carry in the Jeep, but.... Never know when you might need to fell a big tree. Lol

Ha, I carried my little homelite with 14"bar from the 60s in my jeep usually.

I stand corrected. Mines an ms290, 57cc. Doesn't change the fact that stihl makes some bad *** saws though

yessir! In true dad fashion, he will be pissed chrimbus morning when he gets it! I try to get him a power tool every year...i can only hope my future chitlens will take care of me
