Did you get a picture? Haha I've always wanted to build a roof rack with ramps for a wheeler

 

I didnt get a picture... I wish i did! I saw it real quick out of the corner of my eye. Im not even sure he had a roof rack.

Hey guys how are you? I am happy that I found people so passionate about their jeeps!
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2001 that has only 103,000 miles, but the car inspection of NH told me it is time to replace the front exhaust pipe because it is leaking.
I just arrived in Hanover/West Lebanon NH a month ago and I still don't know any mechanic to replace this for me.
I was thinking about buying the front pipe on Amazon (as I always do when I need something) and ask for someone to replace it.
Do you know someone that can replace this for me? And how much someone would charge for that?

i would look up where the closed lous custom exhaust is and have them do it.

 

By front pipe do you mean the manifold that is directly out of the block or the piece below that? If its the manifold then yes Lous's customs will probably be one of your best bets. Check out the APN manifolds. You should also consider putting a flex pipe in, doing your motor mounts, and I you have any desire to modify anything like fuel injectors or the throttle body now would be the time while its all off anyway. Oh and clean out your throttle body and everything around it on the inside of the intake!

If its the piece after the manifold have Lou's custom make you mandrel bent piece that doesn't have a dent in it. If you research "cherokee down pipe dent" you will find that they actually had a pinch in the downpour from the factory. Replacing it with one that isn't bent will open up the flow a bit

Just out of curiosity what's the exhaust set up on your xj?

 

Stock down pipe for now to a mangaflow cat to are free flow muffler.
