you do know that the command trac has no slip in the t case when in 4 hi or low .it is a part time system (full lock)off road or snow only.

selec-trac lets you put it in full time mode wich alows slip betwean the front and the rear drive shaft (for 4 wheel drive on pavement)street use,and it has the part time so if performance on snow and off road i think you will like the 231 because you dont realy need 4 weel drive on the dry pavement.and as for putting it in and out of 4 hi its so ez some times i can do it on a slow roll to get it in and comming out is even ezer it just pops out even at 10 mph dont rec to every one to do it but i never had a grind in to 4 hi ever and 4 hi is all you need in the snow in the 98s and up.

for off road and snow the part time system rocks thats what i run 231 with locking diffs and its unstopabel...
