Smile New Cherokee owner from PA

Hey guys hows it going? My name is Steve, im 21 currently living in sunny FL but will soon be moving back home to Lancaster, PA in a few months. I just picked up a 1988 Cherokee. Its my first 4WD vehicle, i'm coming from the performance turbo scene. I have a 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT-4. I picked this bad boy up for $1,500, it has 250k on the body but a remanufactured motor with 40k on it.

The Bad:
It has its flaws, brakes a super spongey, a/c doesn't work. The heat and a/c system along with the defrost and vent are run off a toggle switch. I need a new driver side lock(outside lock). The fan is run off a toggle switch, Cig outlet doesn't work, need to hard wire in new speakers and wire along with a head unit. Need a new rear pass interior lock, Headliner(Not really on my top list as of now) And new rims along with a front stud......And a few others odds and ends i can probably find at a junk yard or on here possibly.

The Good:
It runs very good with a remanufactured motor with 40k on it.Auto Transmission feels solid. It has a 6" Rough Country lift? Don't hold me to that. It has 33's on it already but im going to get different ones for the winters. Body is in good shape very very minimal rust for being 23 years old and a FL car. 5,000lb tow package with hitch.

Attached it picture. I'm looking forward to meeting many of you and learning a great deal about this wonderful jeep and the 4X4 community.

Cheers,
MrSteve

Hey Steve!

I'm new here too, and from Birdsboro, Pa. Couldn't help but notice that your jeep is run off a toggle switch just like ours!

Jeep looks really nice for a 88

Look forward to hearing more and possibly learning a thing or two aswell!

messure from the center of your hub, to the flare in the front.

stock is 18'' If I remember correctly, subtract 18 form the number you get, and youll have your total lift.

good looking JEEP.

don't call it a car, this upsets them.

Thanks man will do man. I'm sure its at least 6" due to the 33's on it and the extra clearance. And noted its a JEEP and not a car lol.

Cheers,
MrSteve

Front hub to bottom of the flare is 17.5 inches. Back hub to bottom of the flare is 17 inches.
