I have decided on the lift kit I'm going to get this summer. The 5.5" or 6.5" Critical Path Long Arm Kit from Iron Rock Off Road with the Doetsch tech 8000 shocks . I'm going to get the SYE they sell as well. Do I need to get a new driveshaft as well? what else do I need?

New driveshaft, tomwoods or custom job, or front shaft from a V8 ZJ works well too. Don't forget about extended brake lines front and rear, possibly steering dampener. Also, I don't know if the sway bar links they give you are QD, but if they're not I would look into some of those too.
I knew about the brake lines, is it just the front driveshaft that needs replacing? or both? when you say steering dampener, is that the steering stabilizer? I'm just going to try and stockpile the parts until I have everything I need then just going to put everything on in a weekend with my buddies.

My dream lift would be a bastard lift with Alcan mil-wrap springs in the rear and BDS up front...bilstein 5165 Remote Reservoir shocks, the rest would probably come from Ironman 4x4Fab.

No no, your front shaft is fine, it's a slip shaft already, you're rear one needs replacing but you can use a front shaft from an XJ, or a V8 ZJ if you need one a little longer.

Haha, wanted to be a pilot at one point in my life, but then again who didn't right? Nope, work on them. Avionics and Electrical Expert for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, fighter aircraft specific although I can work on pretty much anything with an avionics package. It's fun most days, and the pay is good, plus it keeps me working with my hands so I stay entertained.

Get in with a large company fulfilling a contract of sorts and the pay gets pretty good, plus the full benefits package is decent as well. How long have you been doing anything on aircraft?
