I'm on the phone with them now, waiting to hear the buyback cost. I doubt I can afford it since I need another vehicle and a deposit for an apartment, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe if it isn't too much, some guys will split the cost, we can part it, and I can either chop it or sell it to a junkyard for cash? Just an idea; I'm open to more.
You will get at least $200 cash for the body weight in scrap....Sometimes the buyback can be stupid low.

They wanna sell it for scrap, and I don't want that to happen cause I'm a JY diver, and I know there are a lot of good parts still on it that people can use. I may take my wheels/tires off and replace them with one of my sets of 225s.

grab some steel rod from home depot, bend it up and attach it to the bottom to keep the flares shaped right

hey jim... that comp works beautifully. love it. and as far as that knocking noise (pulltab, you know the one i posted a vid about) it was the flex plate. one of the bolts was so loose, i put the wrench on, started to turn, and it felt like i had missed it. but, all four are nice and tight with red locktite. i just got to get my exhaust fixed. hey jimmy, your buddy got a welder? i would like to try on my exhaust. i mean whats the worst that can happen... its already held on by u clamps...
thats a good idea....but i have 28guage sheet steel under them.. they looked good until i put screws into them to hold them to the metal. i might just leave them just to be legal until i can get ahold of some wrangler flares

Yours MAY be the same. IIRC there were 3 sizes that came on cherokees, the thickest ones were used on the Sport models like mine.
I have a 25mm (1") one off a v8 grand in my shed you can have if you want. Be warned though - they are shaped differently than the XJ one. Would be ok if you had like 3" of lift though...
