And for those that like that bumper, I can scale it up to full size. It's my design, and I scratchbuilt it
You know I want it. Trying to scrap up the money. You said about $200 for front and rear plus about 10 hours?

And jusy an FYI, I am putting together a road trip out to Utah sometime this summer. I'm trying to narrow down a date. I have a really good friend I wanna go out and see and I wanna go to Moab. It's a 34 hour drive down 80 west about 2,100 miles to where he lives in Provo, then a couple hour drive to Moab. I'm looking at about a week and a half - 2 week trip. Anyone that would SERIOUSLY be interested in this please let me know.

That design, plus rear bumper would probably be around $200, including tube work

I was taking a dirt road home due to the wonderful weather and my good mood about leaving work early. I came around a corner to find a deer standing in the middle of the road staring at me. I hit my brakes, rear tires locked, and I let off the brake pedal cause that's what I'm used to doing (no ABS). When I let go, Jeep went in the now-forward direction, into a 2ft wall of dirt. Left front tire went up the berm, Jeep went upward, came down hard and did a full roll, then back onto the roof.
Called 911, then my supervisor, then my insurance company. It's so totaled, they're just wasting my time taking it to a body shop. Gonna get a rental tomorrow til I find out how much compensation I get.
Keep an eye out for nice, cheap XJs. I don't know what options I want yet.

I walked away from it fine, but my back and neck are starting to hurt pretty bad. I'm probably gonna go to the hospital on Ft Detrick tomorrow to get checked out.
Holy crap Tim. glad you're ok man - sorry about the jeep, that really sucks

Dukie, I told you I'd be your guinea pig for those
Haha you knew I was gonna ask...that's pretty sweet that they held up though that - that's about as extreme of a test as you'll ever get. Try to grab them off the jeep if they let you salvage.

did you take any photos?

Mike,
I'll scale everything up this afternoon, and figure out how much steel and tube for a full set. I'm thinking if there is enough interest we can get the price down a little more....
Your not gonna need a full sheet of steel for front and rear...

I don't know if you are a member or NAXJA or not but they are planning an All Chapters Fest at Moab next year, perhaps it can coincide with your already planned trip. I know I'll be heading out there for that.
