I'm sitting at 5.5". Not clayton but gives you an idea of ride height. Clayton kit is the way to go but don't skimp on the shocks.

Here is a pic of how I sit vs stock. Disregard the tire shine.

Feel free to ask questions, the group is very knowledgeable. There is a lot you will need to do to make your XJ usable with a 6.5" lift.

Whats that government? You're seizing my tax return as a penalty for not having health insurance when my mom dumped me off her plan and didn't tell me?

.....Cool thanks.

Thanks for the visual. I'm looking to get a ride so I can get a feel of how manageable and stable it will be at that height. I have talked with Paul at World Tour Off Road here in Annapolis, and he recommended I find someone with a similar size lift to catch a ride with to make sure I was ok with the difference.

How can we disregard the tire shine?!! JK. Decided to stop in and say hello. It's been awhile. By any chance are you a member of the Mid Atlantic Overland Society? I saw a silver Jeep that looked alot like yours at one of their meet and greets as I was leaving.

Hey Bri long time. I'm not a member of MAOS. Jeep hasn't left VA in awhile.

Nope they are the same size tire shine and angle of the pic makes them look that way.

Whats the key reason for running a 6.5" lift?

all of the above lol. So that I can run 35's without having to cut a ton off of my fenders, not beat the hell out of my diffs, and keeping up with my Bronco buddy that likes to do more rocks than trails and mud.

Bigger tires keep your diffs higher. I plan on running 35s on 4" of lift. I'm a fan of LCOG. 5.5" is the highest i'll go. Which I might. Just want to see how 4" goes first.

low cog FTW. more stability and still capable. more lift doesn't always equal better flex
