jacked up the front end and theres a little play in the wheel when I grab the wheel at 12 and 6. this means the hub is going bad right?
Or ball joints. Any play at 9 and 3?

9-3 is hubs. Check ball joints by jacking up the tire you want to check. Put a pry bar underneath and lift. If there is play you can feel and see it at ballpoint. While tire is off the ground spin the wheel and listen if the hub makes noise. My bad hubs had play all around. 12-6, 9-3, 10-4 etc.

is most definitely the hub. I can watch the rim move and the ball joints/hub assembly stay still. so Guess I'll be ordering one of these ASAP

and this is the correct one right?

This was on my renix, and my 93. Not sure about 97+.

It shares the space for the very last screw that holds the bottom of the dash panel on.

I had to edit my post. It's been in my basement so I went and took pictures of the boxes. It is not the HD one. It is solid steel but it's a stock replacement. Price is now 40.
